Maritime Armor set for Planetside 2.
This was a fun challenge; to take a rather lithe robot and:
- add a layer of cosmetic armor over it to make it look nautical; I decided to go with a submarine/diver aesthetic.
- Keep it visually recognizable with the factions shape language, whilst also making it share bulbous shapes from deep sea vehicles.
- Use the existing trim sheets & keep it all under 25k tris.
As always doing these is a load of fun; thanks to Chris Bishop for support and feedback (and the great renders); and Ranulf Busby for doing the base character and trim sheet.
